Prasanta Sarma is one of the co-founders of SANJOG. By profession, he is a livestock farmer. He runs a livestock-based integrated farm at Nalbari. He started his career by working in a locally based CSO. He has a diverse background in the social sector working extensively to promote poultry, fishery, and other livestock-based activities in rural areas. He has vast experience in training and handholding entrepreneurs based on livestock and fishery basedfishery-based activities across Assam. He is the recipient of various awards from the Government of Assam for the promotion of livestock-based livelihoods.
Mridul is the founder of Arohan Trust a voluntary organization based in Boko, Kamrup (R). He holds a B.Tech degree in electronics from IIT Roorkee. He started his career by working in a multinational company based in Cambodia. Mridul later worked for MSME, GoI as Administrative Head of NE Region. Mridul decided to raise Arohan Trust in his native area Boko in Kamrup (R) district in the year 2010. He worked extensively in areas of community health, disaster management, conflict resolution, and livelihood promotion. He is also a member of the Indian Red Cross Society.
Dr, Deba Dutta is a Conservation Biologist involved in the conservation career for the last sixteen years. Dr.Dutta has profound knowledge of community-based conservation of wildlife. As an active member and leading conservation biologist, he has contributed immensely to the revival of Manas National Park. With his persistent effort in the conservation of wildlife, he was recognized by WWF-India with a Meritorious Award in 2012. The government of Assam also recognized his effort in rhino conservation and protection with an Award of Excellence for rescuing one adult female rhino from a human-dominated landscape near Guwahati.
Starting his career as a teacher in India’s reputed residential school chain Jawahar Novodaya Vidyalaya Dhemaji, later he joined Moridhal College in District Dhemaji as an undergraduate faculty. He worked in Assamese media as a Special Correspondent of one of premier Assamese Dailies, Ajir Dainik Batori. He wrote news, and the the features for promotion of social and environmental issues in district Dhemaji.
Currently, he gives his services to one of the prominent environment and wildlife conservation CSO ARANYAK.
Dr.Jogen is a veterinarian by profession. He has a BVSc degree in Animal Husbandry and an MBA degree in HR Management. Dr.Jogen has experience running a veterinary clinic for five in the early stages of his career. He joined PRADAN and led various development projects in Madhya Pradesh and West Bengal. He has extensive experience in livestock promotion, INRM activities, convergence with different development projects of Government and also assisting grassroots Institutions working for livelihood promotion. Dr.Jogen was Head of the Region based in Meerut (UP), in the Indian program of the Brooke Hospital for Animals (United Kingdom). He worked with KABIL a leading NGO implementing development projects in Assam. He recently launched a start-up Doorstep Veterinary Services (DVS) to provide livestock services in rural areas. Nilakshi is a young face in the Governing Board of SANJOG. She is an agriculture graduate and has worked with different government agencies as a trainer on a package of practices for different horticultural crops. She worked as a young professional under the ICAR-Regional Rainfed Lowland Rice Research Station (ICAR-RRLRRS). Currently, she works with Grant Thornton to support women in rural areas to generate sustainable livelihoods through agriculture.
Liza has extensive experience in the social sector supporting Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) all across Assam and in some parts of the Northeast. She has working experience with organizations of great repute like the Rashtriya Gramin Vikas Nidhi, Indian Institute of Entrepreneurship – Guwahati, and other development organizations. She currently works as a freelance consultant supporting different government and non-government organizations.
Indrajit is very enthusiastic about rural development activities in the grassroot level. He is passionate about doing something for the community that has a long term impact. After completing his graduation in electrical engineering from Assam Don Bosco University, he has joined Sanjog. He has been with Sanjog for the last three years and currently heading the renewable energy projects in the organization. He is a tech enthusiast and love to explore new technology.
Abinash Mazumder is very passionate about farming and farming communities. After completing his master’s in Agriculture specializing in Soil Science (Soil Physics), he joined the Institute of Horticulture Technology as a Research Associate. After that, he joined Kosher Climate India Pvt Ltd as an Agronomist in the North East Region to monitor and promote carbon-related activities in the region. Then he joined Sanjog in the year 2023. Currently, he is heading carbon and sustainable livelihood activities in the organization. Apart from this, Abinash is also co-ordinating the OD programs in Sanjog. Abinash has also been conferred with the “Young Scientist Award” by the Soil Conservation Society of India, New Delhi in the year 2022 for his contributions towards irrigation water-related research. Abinash loves to explore new areas and meet new people. He always enjoys bike riding and outdoor camping.
Kundal Hazarika completed his master’s in Agriculture specializing in Crop Physiology from Assam Agricultural University in the year 2021. After completion of his degree, he has joined development sectors and worked with a leading NGO in Assam. After that he has joined Sanjog in the year 2023 and currently he is heading the farm based livelihood interventions in the organizations. Kundal loves to sing, video editing and vlogging.
Dipankar Haloi completed his master’s in agriculture in the discipline of Plant Protection in the year 2023. Grassroot level activities After that he joined Sanjog as a Field Executive and currently working in different grassroots level grassroots-level activities like carbon farming, capacity-building training programs, financial leverage, etc. Dipankar has expertise in mushroom cultivation and he loves to read books in his free time.
Protush Nath completed his B.TECH in Agricultural Engineering from Assam University, Silchar in the year 2023. He is currently working in Sanjog as a Field Executive in carbon-related activities and farm mechanization. Protush loves to innovate new ideas and work on the ideas for overall development of the community.
Bappi Dey Sarkar, a graduate of Guwahati University has been with Sanjog for the last two years. He has a deep understanding of grassroots activities and is also a passionate farmer. He is currently serving as a Field Executive in the Organisation.
Bhaskar is a Science graduate. He has completed his B.sc in the discipline of Statistics from Guwahati University in the year 2022. After that he has joined a Medicine company in the domain of sales and marketing. He has joined Sanjog in the year 2023 and currently serving the organization and community as Field Executive in livelihood interventions.
Bikash has a degree in Zoology from Guwahati University. He has joined Sanjog in the year 2023 and currently working as Field Executive in Nalbari and Barpeta district. He loves to listen music in his free time.
Ripunjoy is a commerce graduate from Guwahati University in the year 2022. He also holds a PGDCA degree. Currently, he is working as an Accountant in Sanjog. Apart from the account part, he also loves to engage with the community at the grassroot level.
Usha Urang has completed her Bachelor of Arts and after that, she has been associated with different kinds of social work locally. She has been with Sanjog for the last two years and currently serving the post of Field Co-Ordinator.
Shankar Munda is very active, hardworking and dedicated individual. He knows the serving community very well and is very much compassionate about his work. Currently he is serving as Field Co-ordinator in Sanjog. By education, he has passed his HSLC from KKHSOU.
Dwijen Das has passed his HSLC from Solmara High School, Nalbari. He has over 7 years of working experience in development sectors in various NGOs in Assam. He has a deep understanding of the community and geography and currently working as a Field Co-Ordinator in Sanjog. He is very passionate about rural development works and always wants to do something new and beneficial for the community.
Raju Das is a passionate development professional and is an expert in community mobilization works. He is currently serving as Field Co-Ordinator in Sanjog.
